No — your monthly fee covers our professional service, managed hosting, tool stack, and monthly management. There's no separate hosting invoice in normal operation. One honest disclosure: our hosting infrastructure has usage thresholds. In the very unlikely event that your website experiences an extreme traffic spike that exceeds standard infrastructure limits (think: you go viral overnight or run a massive paid ad campaign that drives tens of thousands of visitors in hours), we would notify you in writing with documentation and the actual incremental cost would be passed through to you. In practice, this has never happened with any of our clients — standard local business websites are well within normal thresholds. But we document it in our services agreement so there are no surprises. Short answer: for a typical Green Bay service business, you will never see a hosting overage charge. We just believe in telling you how everything works upfront.
Here's the honest answer: You own the intellectual property — the copyright to your site's content and design is assigned to you once all fees are paid. Your domain name is always yours and can be transferred at any time at no charge beyond standard registrar fees. The physical transfer of your website files (code repository, content exports, DNS documentation) to a new provider is handled through our exit process, which requires all outstanding account balances to be current plus a $750 Exit Migration Fee. This fee covers the professional service of packaging and transferring everything to your new provider. If you choose not to pay the exit migration fee, the site is taken down and files are not transferred — so we recommend thinking of it as a transition cost, not a hostage fee. We document all of this clearly in our services agreement before you sign anything.
